Proton Beam Therapy
Proton beam therapy is a cutting-edge form of radiation treatment revolutionising cancer care. Using positively charged particles called protons, proton beam therapy precisely targets tumours while minimising damage to surrounding healthy tissues.
Proton International at the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) is the only private proton facility in the UK and I’m proud to be able to offer this highly precise lung cancer treatment here.
Stereotactic Radiotherapy
Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy (SABR) is an advanced, non-invasive treatment for lung cancer. Also known as Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), it delivers precisely targeted high-dose radiation to tumours, potentially improving cure rates and reducing treatment sessions compared to traditional radiotherapy.
By concentrating radiation on the tumour while minimising exposure to surrounding healthy tissue, SABR aims to destroy cancer cells while sparing nearby organs.
Using technologies like CyberKnife and Varian Edge and Truebeam, I treat patients with SABR for lung cancer at The Cromwell Hospital, The London Clinic and The Harley Street Clinic.
